Adam Sandler, who makes comedies your dumbest cousin loves, has made quite a few movies as part of his deal with streaming giant Netflix. Sandler's newest film, 'Hubie Halloween' stars Sandler as a man-child with a speech disorder (again) who loves Halloween and has become a running joke in the town of Salem, Massachusetts. Ignored by the police and bullied by the local teenagers, he does his best to make Halloween safe and special while pining for his crush, Violet Valentine (Julie Bowen).
Then something starts going wrong. When no one believes Hubie, he has to take it upon himself to investigate the horrors that lurk this Halloween. A mysterious new neighbor (Steve Buscemi) has a hankering for the supernatural, there's an escaped criminal on the loose and some mysterious disappearances have Hubie on red alert. Salem's resident nerdy hero needs to convince the skeptical authorities that the monsters are real this time; he's all about solving crimes, but obstacles get in the way of the normal and paranormal varieties.
The film also stars Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Shaquille O’Neal, Rob Schneider, Ray Liotta, June Squibb, Steve Buscemi, Michael Chiklis, and Kenan Thompson. The movie releases October 7th and you can watch the trailer below.
