Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, has been admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure after feeling unwell.
A press release from Buckingham palace on Wednesday stated, "His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in London, on Tuesday evening."

Sources close to the Royal family told CNN that the Prince traveled by car rather than ambulance, that it wasn't an emergency admission, and that the Prince's condition wasn't COVID related.
The Buckingham Palace press release added: "The Duke's admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness's Doctor, after feeling unwell.
"The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest," it added.
