One of the most fantastic moments of Tim Burton's phantasmagoria 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' is the first appearance of the Oogie Boogie man, the sinister but spectacular villain who interrupts Jack Skellington's plans by having Santa Claus kidnapped and brought to his gamblers den. The Oogie Boogie Song is a jazzy, brassy number that has become a favorite showstopper. Written by composer Danny Elfman and originally performed by Ken Page, it's one of the best songs of the show.
A Capella group VoicePlay has taken a crack at the timeless tune with a beautifully filmed performance. The group, comprised of vocalists Earl Elkins, Jr, Eli Jacobson, J.None, Geoff Castellucci, Layne Stein, turns the song into a fun tribute to the original film.
